Born in Denver, Andy attended Colgate University where he graduated cum laude with high honors in Physics with a second concentration in Computer Science/Mathematics. While at Colgate, he was awarded a number of competitive research grants, coauthored several research papers in national scientific journals and captained the school’s soccer team.

After spending time at a software start up, he earned his MBA at Harvard Business School, and was recruited by Microsoft to work as a Program Manager in the Windows division. While at Microsoft, Andy found success in turning around troubled projects. He also spent time developing new learning and content delivery platforms for K-12 schools.
After leaving Microsoft, Andy spent time with his three children and became actively involved in their Elementary school. Serving as Treasurer and President of its PTSA, he spent considerable time in the classroom tutoring and mentoring students, with a special emphasis on providing enrichment and challenges to advanced math students.
As a soccer player and enthusiast, Andy has coached his children’s teams from age 6 and up, and now coaches a Crossfire Select team that recently won a Washington State Cup. He has also been active in growing the sport of Lacrosse, having coached 3rd through 8th graders.
Andy has served as a board member since 2006, and most recently, as President, of the newly organized Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association, where he worked to bring citizens, property owners and local government together to build nine new athletic fields for the area’s young athletes while at the same time, returning a historical piece of Sammamish Valley agricultural land to active organic farming.
Living in Washington State for 20 years, Andy is married to his wife of 17 years, Molly. He enjoys hiking, backpacking and skiing with his family.
