A Commitment to Kids and to our Schools…
As a father with three kids, Andy didn’t wait for someone else to step up to improve the quality of education offered to our

children – he did it himself. As Treasurer and President of the Emily Dickinson Elementary School PTSA, Andy worked with teachers, parents and school administrators to help kids get the educational resources they need. Andy also served as a volunteer math tutor for students who needed additional challenges and enrichment.
Andy is a long time soccer player and coach, has volunteered as a soccer coach for the Crossfire Select club and as a lacrosse coach for Eastside Girls Youth Lacrosse.
Andy also served as a board member since 2006, and more recently, President, of the newly organized Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association. And most recently he worked to bring citizens, property owners and local government together to build nine new athletic fields for our young athletes and future generations as well.
Putting technology to work creating jobs and improving our community…
As a graduate of Colgate University and the Harvard Business School, Andy went to work at Microsoft helping to guide the growth of new technology that is creating jobs in our community. While at Microsoft, Andy earned a reputation for taking troubled projects and making them a success. Don’t we need more of that in Olympia right now?
Andy is also proud of his work at Microsoft developing new learning and content delivery platforms for K-12 schools.
